LG Nexus 4 vs Galaxy S3: Let’s Settle This Now, Best Phone Is…

The LG Nexus 4 and Samsung Galaxy S3 have been going head to head since the pure Google phone was released over a month ago. With both Android phones boasting crystal clear displays, amazingly fast processors, solid cameras and Android Jelly Bean, they seem evenly matched.

Of course the LG Nexus 4 has Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean which includes new features like Photosphere, Gesture Typing, new lockscreen widgets and a smoother interface. However the Samsung Galaxy S3 isn’t neccessarily handicapped as its TouchWiz Nature UX brings its own bag of tricks via S-features e.g. Smart Stay, Share Shot, Buddy Share, S-Beam and more.

Personally I would recommend the LG Nexus 4 over the Samsung Galaxy S3 if you don’t need these two specific features – LTE and more than 16GB of storage. Taking these two out of the factor, the LG Nexus 4 with its better design, faster software updates and slightly more powerful hardware stands in front. Of course that is just my opinion so to settle this once and for all, the folks over at AndroidAuthority ran a survey.

Google Already Working on LG Nexus 4 Successor?

Reports said that search engine giant Google is already working on the successor of the popular LG Nexus 4.

Google has been releasing Nexus smartphones and tablets over the years. Since it was launched, the Nexus line has included handsets from HTC, Samsung, and LG. However, it seems Google may be using the recently-acquired Motorola for its next phone.

Wall Street Journal quoted unnamed sources that a new device is on its way from Google-owned Motorola. These people say Motorola engineers are hard at work on a “sophisticated” handset codenamed ‘X phone.’

However, it is still unsure whether the device will be a Nexus-brand phone; but reports claimed that it will definitely not be a Droid handset.

Though features were not detailed by The Wall Street Journal’s sources, Motorola’s Dennis Woodside apparently wants a team that will do something that differs from current approaches. Woodside says he’s investing in the team and technology necessary to do just that.
