LG Uni8 With Windows Phone 8.1 Tipped in Leaked Press Image

LG Uni8 With Windows Phone 8.1 Tipped in Leaked Press Image
News from NDTV:

LG, which was one of first Windows Phone partners before stopping to produce smartphones for the platform in 2010, is reportedly once again making a Windows Phone device, this time running Windows Phone 8.1.

The famous tipster @evleaks on Monday tweeted a render image of the big-screen Windows Phone said to be dubbed LG Uni8.

While the tweet suggested that it is likely to be launched in 2014, the Engadget team on Tuesday reported that it has “received a denial from the folks over at LG, who have said that this isn’t a phone that we’re going to see released this year.” This would imply that LG has no Window Phone devices lined-up for 2014.

The alleged LG Uni8 may be the company’s first Windows Phone 8 device, and when launched, it will mark LG’s re-entry into the Windows Phone market that it left in 2010.

LG G3 spotted in the wild with new Quick View case
News from TrustedReviews:

The LG G3 has been spotted on the subway

The LG G3 leaks continue to emerge thick and fast, as the upcoming flagship phone is spotted out in the wild.

With the manufacturer having failed on many levels to keep its LG G2 follow-on secret, the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 rival has now been snapped riding the subway in LG’s native Korea.

The shots, which look suspiciously staged, show a woman sporting the gold edition of the LG G3, with the handset sat within the recently teased new Quick View case with a circular preview window.

Although LG has already confirmed the phone’s name and teased elements of the handset’s specs sheet and design, the phone is not set to be formally unveiled until May 27.

Set to be showcased at a London-based launch event, the LG G3 will land with a 5.5-inch edge-to-edge display.

As well as being unencumbered by a…………… continues on TrustedReviews

Press Renders for LG G Flex on AT&T and T-Mobile Leaked

Press Renders for LG G Flex on AT&T and T-Mobile Leaked
News from Droid Life:

Last night, @evleaks posted a couple of press renders for the LG G Flex; one for T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network and the other for AT&T’s network. There were no dates given along with the images, so we still don’t know when to exactly expect these devices to hit the States, except for one source who stated February. When they do, we will more than likely be looking to pick one up, given the uniqueness of their design.

The G Flex features a quad-core processor, 6″ HD display, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP back-facing camera, and plenty of other great top-tier specs. If a curved device was on your wishlist for 2014, you aren’t too far away.

Thoughts on the G Flex? Are we hoping it also makes an appearance for Verizon’s network?

New Android phones absent from LG’s CES press event

New Android phones absent from LG’s CES press event
News from androidandme.com:

LG opened up press day with a whimper on the mobile end of things. If you’re into OLED and/or Ultra HD TVs, then perhaps there was reason to be a bit more excited, as they announced a myriad of options for your viewing pleasure.

But back to mobile. They’ve gotten my attention with the Nexus 4 and Optimus G, so perhaps there’s something worthwhile to be gleaned from what they had to say. Their tagline for 2013 is “Touch the smart life.” They were stressing integration across their product lines and trying to ensure that consumers are able to simply do what they need to without having to think about how the tech is working.

“The Smart Home Service is a perfect example of LG’s commitment to bringing true technology convergence into the consumer’s home,” said Dr. Scott Ahn, Chief Technology Officer of LG Electronics. “SmartShare offers a variety of ways to share digital content between devices. SmartControl lets the user take charge of their LG home appliance and entertainment products from a single location using the SmartControl application for smartphones and Smart TVs.”

NFC played a role in this with tags on appliances that allow you to see and adjust settings from your phone by doing the standard NFC bump. Simple one touch wireless connections would allow you to control and monitor your LG washer/dryer, refrigerator, stove and, of course, your rob…………… continues on androidandme.com

[CES 2013] LG’s Press Conference: No New Phone, No New Tablet, No New …
News from Android Police:

I went to LG’s CES press conference, so I kind of feel obligated to write about it, even though nothing much happened. The biggest news out of the conference is that the translated we came across a few weeks ago is bogus. At the time we thought it meant a new version of GTV was coming, but it turns out it’s just the same software that’s been out since November, with a new launcher made by LG, which they referred to as their “3rd generation skin.”

So what’s new about the 3rd Gen skin? Almost nothing. There’s a new home screen, although we’ve already seen it in the . It looks like this.

LG Optimus EX press shot leaked
News from Ubergizmo:

Another day, another leak, and this time we have the upcoming Android phone from LG, the Optimus EX. Previously discovered earlier this week, the Optimus EX has now been spotted in higher quality press shot renders. The phone is headed to Korea and packs some pretty sweet specs. The Optimus EX will feature a dual-core 1.2GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, a 4″ WVGA IPS 700-nit NOVA display, a 5-megapixel camera 1080p video capable but surprisingly it’s missing a flash,  1GB of RAM, 8GB of ROM, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), a 1,500mAh battery, Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS.

The Android 2.3 phone will be a lightweight device, weighing only 127 grams and will be pretty slim at 9.65mm. No word on a US or international or US variant, but let’s hope it does travel out of Korea.

3D smart phones meeting great challenges in Vietnam
News from VietNamNet Bridge:

VietNamNet Bridge – Manufacturers have begun launching 3D smart phones into the Vietnamese market. However, with the limitations in technology and the poor 3D content, the products are still far from becoming a growing tendency in 2011.

After TVs, laptops and game players, smart phone is the next electronic product which joins the 3D technology trend. On the 4-inch screens, users can enjoy 3D film scripts, pictures, and game apps with their naked eyes, without glasses. Together with the dual core mobile phones, 3D smart phones are expected to create a new tendency among hi-tech users in Vietnam.

LG has put Optimus 3D to the shelf which is priced at 13.8 million dong. Meanwhile, HTC is planning to introduce EVO 3D with the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of between 14 and 15 million dong. These are considered the two genuine mobile phone models which have officially joined the domestic market.<…………… continues on VietNamNet Bridge
