The Google phone of 2015, according to PC Advisor UK, is just right around the corner. However, it’s not exactly sure if what is dubbed as the Nexus 5 2015 is really a Nexus 5 — the name has aready been used, along with Nexus 4, 6, and 7. Nevertheless, there are plenty of speculations on what the upcoming device will have to offer.

The PC Advisor article reports that both LG and Huawei are each doing a version of the device, but somehow, it appears that the LG-Nexus will have 5.2-inch HD P-OLED screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620, 4 GB of DDR3 RAM with memory expandable up to 64 GB, front-facing speakers, and a 13- and 4-megapixel camera combo. LG said to make new Google Nexus phone for October unveiling

LG said to make new Google Nexus phone for October unveiling
News from St. Augustine Record:

SEOUL, South Korea — LG Electronics Inc. is developing a Nexus smartphone for Google Inc., becoming the third manufacturer to build phones for the U.S. company, according to a person with knowledge of the matter.

The device, to be shown this month, is based on LG’s Optimus G model, said the person, who declined to be identified because the project isn’t public.

For LG, its first Nexus project would deepen a partnership with Google as the Seoul-based company tries to compete with Samsung Electronics Co. Google has previously developed phones with Samsung and HTC Corp. to help maintain the dominance of its mobile operating system against Apple’s iPhone.

Jinny Lee, a Seoul-based spokeswoman for LG, and Shari Yoder Doherty, a spokeswoman for Google, declined to comment.

LG’s Optimus G, which went on sale in South Korea last month, has a 4.7-inch screen and runs on a processor made by Qualcomm Inc. for fourth-generation Long Term Evolution, or LTE, networks offering faster Internet connections.

Technology blogs, including BGR, have posted what they say are leaked photos of the new Nexus phone with LG’s logo.

LG’s mobile-phone division had an operating loss of 56.7 billion won ($ 51 million) in the second quarter, compared with Samsung’s operating profit of 4.19 trillion won at its telecommunications business. LG was No. 5 in global h…………… continues on St. Augustine Record

HTC, Samsung, and LG to launch Mango devices in September; Nokia in October
News from Zunited:

It’s full steam ahead for Microsoft and Windows Phone 7.5. Fujitsu announced the first Mango device just a couple of days ago and now the rumor mill is churning, saying HTC, Samsung, and LG (the original three) will be launching their respective Mango devices this September.

According to a report from DigiTimes, “branded handset vendors including” (but not limited to?) “HTC, Samsung Electronics, and LG Electronics all plan to launch Microsoft’s Mango-based smartphones in September.” The report doesn’t fail to mention that the iPhone 5 is rumored to launch in September as well and these devices would be competing with the Apple device — though, it should be noted that was probably not any handset maker or Microsoft’s intention.

Nokia, meanwhile, will announce its line of Mango devices at Nokia World 2011 to take place in October. DigiTimes notes that this could be a good strategy as Mango bu…………… continues on Zunited
