LG G3 specs: LG Isai FL expected to be next flagship phone outside Japan

Will the LG G3 be based on the LG Isai FL?

The device made exclusively for the Japanese market is being tipped to release as the LG G3 outside of Japan.

The device was named LG Isai and was made for the Japanese telecom company KDDI.  The specifications were basically the same as what went on to become the LG G2.

Speculation that LG will similarly re-release this year’s LG Isai FL as the LG G3 for international markets has been compounded by images shared by Twitter tipster @evleaks purporting to be show the front and back panels of the LG Isai FL in white and a bold pink.

We are obviously getting closer to seeing the next flagship smartphone from LG, and now more information is coming to light that could mean that the LG G3 specs could include an iPhone 5S feature.

Previously a Sprint User Agent Profile appeared giving us some possible specifications about the LG G3, and now another one has been leaked that details some of the pre-loaded applications that could be coming on the handset.

These include PayPal and McAffee Mobile Security offerings along with some others that could mean that the device will come with some kind of fingerprint scanner. Of course this may not mean anything and could even be faked, but there have been a lot of LG G3 leaks recently that have included more recently a mini version in the pipeline.

iPhone 5 Expected to Fire Up Mobile Market

Worldwide sales of mobile phones saw a 2 percent decline from the first quarter of 2011 due to a slowdown in demand from the Asia/Pacific region, but the launch of the Apple iPhone 5 will help drive a stronger second half of the year in Western Europe and North America, according to Gartner. The report also notes that Apple’s sales in China were “particularly strong” despite people holding of sales in the hope of an iPhone 5.

As a whole the market saw a decline, notes the Gartner report: “Worldwide sales of mobile phones to end users reached 419.1 million units in the first quarter of 2012, a 2 percent decline from the first quarter of 2011.”

RIM, Nokia, Motorola, LG, and HTC all saw their share of the market shrink when compared to the first quarter of 2011. “Global sales of mobile devices declined more than expected due to a slowdown in demand from the Asia/Pacific region,” said Gartner analyst Anshul Gupta.

“The first quarter, traditionally the strongest quarter for Asia — which is driven by Chinese New Year, saw a lack of new product launches from leading manufacturers, and users delayed upgrades in the hope of better smartphone deals arriving later in the year,” added Gupta.
