LG G3 vs HTC One M8 – design and performance
News from Load The Game:

The LG G3 has been praised this year by many for its outstanding screen and beautiful design, while the HTC One M8 is the favorite among smartphone users thanks to its metal design and admirable performance and durability. Anybody who is looking to buy a new handset has to consider these two flagships, otherwise they can’t say they’ve checked out all the options.

Of course, there competitors some might like even more, like the Sony Xperia Z2 ,Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4 or Lumia Icon and the Meizu MX4, Xiaomi Mi4 and Huawei Ascend Mate 7 from lesser know manufacturers. The LG G3 and the HTC One M8 have been regarded as top notch flagships which you can currently purchase for $ 700 and $ 600 off contract respectively. These are quite the hefty price if you consider that behemoths like the Meizu MX4 are available for under $ 400, but both the LG G3 and HTC One M8 are well worth their money.

Both the LG G3 and HTC One M8 have cheaper versions available, the LG G3 Beat, with a considerably weaker screen and specs sheet and HTC One E8, which is basically the same as the HTC One M8, except for the high quality metal build. Nonetheless, the original flagships are the…………… continues on Load The Game

LG G3 vs Galaxy S5: Specs, design, camera and initial sales
News from Ecumenical News:

The newly-launched LG G3 has given people who are looking for a high-end smartphone a new alternative. To consider itself a member of the high-end smartphones category, it needs to compete against other similar devices, such as the Samsung Galaxy S5.

The following specs show how LG’s top device fares in a LG G3 vs Galaxy S5 comparison.

Chipset, RAM and Storage

LG G3 was rumored to be powered by the new Snapdragon 805 chipset, which was announced last year to be available in 2014. However, the smartphone ended up with a Snapdragon 801. The same goes for the GS5, and most other current top devices.

Both the G3 and GS5 come with either 16GB or 32GB internal storage, which is expandable by microSD cards. The LG G3 come with either 2GB or 3GB RAM, while the GS5 has 2GB RAM.

LG G3 spotted in grainy image, suggests design
News from Phones Review:

LG is looking to have more of a presence in the smartphone world this year away from any new Nexus handset it may provide at some point. Now the LG G3 may have been spotted in a grainy image that suggests the design of the smartphone.

Already this week we have already seen some supposed screen shots appear from the LG G3 that reinforces the belief the device will feature a 2K display. Now the image that you can see on this page courtesy of the guys over at GSM Arena is said to be of the LG G3.

As you can see the device still has some rear keys that have been redesigned and the image fits in with some cases that leaked earlier this week. There is also a sensor placed near the camera that could be the fingerprint scanner that has been

Unannounced LG phone pictured with larger display and a design borrowed …
News from BGR:

LG (066570) has found new life with its flagship Optimus G smartphone. The popular handset has been selling well across the globe and even spawned a larger and more powerful successor earlier this year for the Japanese market, known as the Optimus G Pro. It appears that LG isn’t done tweaking its Optimus G line of devices, however.

According to a purported spec sheet

LG Mobile Teases New Phones on its Facebook Page
News from TechnoBuffalo:

by Sean P. Aune | February 6, 2013

LG wants everyone to know something new is on the horizon, but they’re not going to tell us when we might be seeing it.

With Mobile World Congress starting up in a few weeks in Barcelona, there are sure to be many new phones and tablets being announced in the coming weeks. However, with HTC having an event prior to the big show, and rumors that Samsung will be holding back the Galaxy S IV to an event some time later in the spring, the truly big announcements seem to be skipping Spain this year.

Then LG goes and throws a wrench in the whole thing by posting an image to its Facebook page today that simply says a “new series will be unveiled.”

While quite a bit of the speculation online seems to be pointing to the Optimus G Pro,

Rumor: LG to Introduce 5.5-inch 1080p Phone, Edge-to-Edge Design, and 7 …
News from Droid Life:

According to a report out of GSMArena, LG has some major things planned for CES, next week. In the past year, CES took a back seat in the mobile world to other  conferences like MWC or to companies deciding to hold their own solo press events. But if this rumor becomes a reality, LG may steal the show on a mobile front, as the rest of the big dogs like Motorola, Samsung, and HTC have yet to hint at much of a smartphone presence for this year’s show.

Beyond the new Google TV products that LG has been teasing, this report suggests that we may also see a 4.7″ edge-to-edge phone with a bezel that measures in around 1mm. Up until this point, Motorola and its RAZR M have led the edge-to-edge phone battle, but it was only a matter of time before someone else stepped into the arena.

Along with this new phone, this rumor suggests that LG will introd…………… continues on Droid Life
