Iphone 6 vs LG G3 – Battle of Flagships
News from I Know Today:

With so many new powerhouse smartphones coming out, it’s hard to make an educated decision. LG has been constantly pushing out some exceptional models, and more recently, Apple has also released its highly anticipated iPhone 6. The LG G3 is a specs beast, there is no doubt about that. When you look at it on paper, everything from its processor to  its display and camera screams of top notch quality specs. On the other hand, the iPhone 6 is not about the specs, but more about what it can do and how it does it.

We’re going to compare the two to give you a better idea of what might it you best and which of the two is ultimately the better choice and the bigger phone for the buck.

Design Comparison

Even for a plastic constructed phone, the LG G3 has an appealing design on its own. However, it’s still not as attractive when compared to the iPhone 6′s new redesign. The iPhone 6 is just more compact, thinner and on top of that, sturdier with its choice in materials. The LG G3 standout design characteristics include its power button and volume controls, which are now placed in the rear. You also have a ION blaster on the top edge which doubles as a universal remote, as well as a removable rear cover which grants us access to its internal battery and also has a microSD card slot.

Meanwhile, for the iPhone 6, we have non other than i…………… continues on I Know Today

LG Unify (Virgin Mobile)
News from PC Magazine:

By Sascha Segan

A decent starter phone for a tween, Virgin Mobile’s LG Unify is the best phone (and the only one you should consider) for its Virgin Mobile Custom service. But it’s not the best prepaid phone in the $ 100-150 range. While it’s compact and has great battery life, we were disappointed with this version of the phone’s performance.

Asus Zenfone 5 vs LG Volt vs LG G2 Mini
News from Beautiful Features and Price … – The Fuse Joplin:

There have been new additions lately in the smartphone market that will capture it unexpectedly. Here you can find our review of some average smartphones that have been currently launched. These devices come out of the box with impressive features, surprising the market. Now we would like to make a comparison between the LG Volt, LG G2 Mini and Asus Zenfone5.

LG Volt

First, the LG Volt is the handset with a smooth look, which has a quite big display of 5.18 by 2.6 inches that makes it noticeable and in accordance with the trend of large screens for smartphones in the last few years. The screen covers and is the first thing that you will notice when holding the phone. The size of the screen is what makes the phone stand out and it is the best future of it, although the screen resolution is fairly unremarkable (540×960 pixels). Also, the phone weighs 4.8g. which is awesome considering all the specs that this device from LG provides. Firstly, it is a touchscreen mobile with no exterior buttons.

The display screen has also scratch resistance and it should make it a long lasting phone, when handle properly. The essential asset to this LG is its processing strength; it comes with a Quad-Core processor of 1200 MHz and it enables you to use many applications without a problem. The battery unit offers impressive talk-time of 24 hours, w…………… continues on Beautiful Features and Price … – The Fuse Joplin

Battle of the smartwatches: LG’s G Watch, Samsung Gear Live, Samsung Gear 2 …
News from IBNLive:

New York: New Android wristwatches from Samsung and LG make a few evolutionary advances, though I won’t be rushing out to buy either.

Samsung’s Gear Live and LG’s G Watch are good products and will appeal to those who like to be among the first to own new gadgets.

ALSO SEE Android Wear review: Rather limited in what it can do now but should evolve fast

The watches serve as pedometers and let you catch up on email, texts and Facebook notifications while your phone is in your pocket or charging in the bedroom. Even with the phone in your hand, you can check messages on the watch and keep playing video on the phone.

Samsung’s Gear Live and LG’s G Watch are good products and will appeal to those who like to be among the first to own new gadgets.

Both smartwatches try to keep things simple through voice commands rather than touch. They use Google’s Android Wear system, which I reviewed earlier.

LG G3 vs Galaxy S5 head-to-head review
News from V3.co.uk:

Since Samsung launched the Galaxy S2 in 2011, its share of the Android market has been growing at a phenomenal rate. Its Korean sibling LG – despite success on other shores – always held a modest share of the UK smartphone market and has been fairly quiet until recently.

But in June, LG released probably its best smartphone to date, the G3. Yet, with Samsung having released its own flagship months before – the Galaxy S5, which has equally impressive specifications – many buyers have justifiably wondered which handset is most worth their attention and hard-earned cash.

Design and build
Both the Galaxy S5 and G3 have very different designs, despite both featuring removable polycarbonate backplates and metallic sides.

This is primarily because of the G3′s button placement. Unlike the Galaxy S5 and most other handsets, the G3′s volume and power buttons are on its back, rather tha…………… continues on V3.co.uk

Battle of the curved phones: LG G Flex vs Samsung Galaxy Round

Battle of the curved phones: LG G Flex vs Samsung Galaxy Round
News from Tech2:

LG and Samsung have forayed into a new mobile category with smartphones featuring curved displays. Samsung’s Galaxy Round and LG’s G Flex have made their debuts in Korea and now the LG handset is about to hit Indian stores in February next year. The Galaxy Round has been announced for $ 1027 (in Korea) while LG says the G Flex will be priced between Rs 60,000 and Rs 65,000. We’ve put both smartphones in the ring for a face off, to see who emerges as the winner (on paper).

LG G Flex
The LG Flex comes with a 6-inch 720p curved OLED display. The design is vertical oriented as the phone is curved on the horizontal axis. According to LG, the design reduces the distance between user’s mouth and microphone when the Flex is held against the ear. The smartphone also takes design cues from the recently launched G2, and comes with rear buttons for power and volume. The LG G Flex is powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. On the camera front, the G Flex comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. It packs in a 3,500 mAh battery and runs on…………… continues on Tech2

LG G2 review: One of 2013′s Finest Androids – Know Your Mobile
News from LG G2 review: One of 2013′s Finest Androids – Know Your Mobile:

With the Nexus 5 now official it’s a rather odd time for LG to release the G2. This super-powerful Android phone is the company’s attempt to take down Samsung, HTC and Sony, but it could end up being overshadowed by the new and infinitely cheaper Nexus 5.

And that would be a shame, because the G2 is arguably the finest blower to emerge from the company’s labs in quite some time. It combines incredible power with a unique design and a wonderful screen to present one of the most appealing Android phones we’ve seen this year.

LG, Philips Join 5+ Phone Battle

LG, Philips Join 5+ Phone Battle
News from International Business Times AU:

ZTE Nubia Z7 and Huawei Ascend Mate which will have 6.3-inch and 6.1-inch of screen displays, respectively, will soon be released. Apparently, it is now the trend for larger, bigger, and “HD-er” screens to show which smartphones offer powerful and dominant features among the different models available in the market.

LG and Philips are currently developing their 5+ inches smartphones and possibly will release them in 2013. It could be their preparation for the upcoming rumours about a new Galaxy Note 3 which nobody knows yet when will it take everyone by surprise.

LG is known for their reputation for screen making and its technology. Their products are used by Apple and Samsung for smartphone devices. At the recent CES 2013, three new displays were shown ranging from 5.5-inch to 12.9 inch and the first likely to the 5.5 is the Lenovo K900.

For the LG smartphone line up, the upcoming device is the Optimus G2 which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Prime and comes with 5.5 inches of screen size too.

Battle of the Big Android Phones: LG Announces 5-inch Optimus Vu

Battle of the Big Android Phones: LG Announces 5-inch Optimus Vu
News from PC Magazine:

Hey, you got your tablet in my smartphone! You got your smartphone in my tablet.

And now, LG is hoping to get its newly announced Optimus Vu smartphone into the market previously owned by Samsung’s Galaxy Note – the world of the ultra-sized devices, that is.

Not content to wait for this year’s Mobile World Congress to unveil its big ol’ smartphone, LG has released some pictures and confirmed the specs of the second Korean-made Android smartphone to push the five-inches-or-bigger size classification.

But here’s the stinker for U.S. enthusiasts: The LTE smartphone’s scheduled to debut in Korea in March, and there’s been no announcement for when it might go international. In…………… continues on PC Magazine

Tech Talk Review: LG Spectrum
News from KWCH:

(WICHITA, Kan.) — The LG Spectrum has a lot of things going for it, but a few things going against it. It’s a sleek, cool looking phone and has all the cool features you probably are now expecting from an Android enabled device. But the things holding it back keep me from smiling wildly.

The phone has a very nice 4.5 inch HD quality screen and illuminating home buttons on the bottom. The default lay-out of the home screens were a pleasant surprise over other phones I’ve tested. With one screen dedicated strictly to media stored on it and others for weather and other widgets.

The phone I tested runs on the Verizon network, and usually Verizon has terrific call quality. But people I called complained about hearing background noise and sometimes were having trouble hearing me.

The phone ships with Android’s Gingerbread OS. This puzzled me because Ice Cream Sandwich is now available on quite a few phones. Even though the phone is supposed to compatible for an upgrade, not every Android app is compatible. The only reason I can think this phone is not shipping with ICS is because not all of the kinks with the OS have been worked out yet.
