LG G3, the Samsung Galaxy S5 challenger, appears again in leaked images
News from IBNLive:

New Delhi: LG’s next flagship phone, G3, which will be officially unveiled on May 27, has once again been revealed in leaked images. Famous tipster evleaks has posted a new set of leaked images, suggesting that the phone will come in three colours – black, silver and gold.

Speculations are rife that the phone will have a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with 2560 x 1440 resolution, 32GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM. The phone will run the latest Android OS, Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

Under the hood, the G3 will have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 processor. If reports are to be believed, the phone will be dust and water resistant. The phone is presumed to be the Samsung Galaxy S5 killer. The LG G3 launch event will take place in six cities across the world on May 27.

LG G3 Pictures And Specs Leak: It’s Utterly Gorgeous
News from Huffington Post UK:

We’ve known for a while that LG’s G3 flagship smartphone is on the way.

We didn’t know it would look this gorgeous.

This set of leaked press images have turned up Friday on EVLeaks and Phone Arena, and they show a phone which is frankly stunning, with three varieties of full metal devices (gold, grey and silver) and the G2′s trademark rear-button.

The phone has an exceptionally thin screen bezel and looks like an even sleeker version of the HTC One M8, minus the double camera and front-facing speakers.

It is thought the phone will feature a huge 5.5-inch QHD display with a 2560 x 1440-pixel resolution, a Snapdragon 801 (standard for the very top-end phones) and 3GB of RAM. All that remains is to see the software involved, the price and contract options, and then to run down to our nearest Dixon Warehouse PC Carphone store and buy one.

LG F240K Android smartphone appears on GLBenchmark
News from The Droid Guy:

South Korean phone-maker, LG, is currently working on yet another Android smartphone. While there is scarcity of information available for now, GLBenchmark’s website suggests the new device will have a model number F240K, or whatever that means. Apparently, the device doesn’t have a name yet and LG hasn’t actually confirmed its existence. This report is based solely on GLBenchmark’s, one of the many mobile benchmark platforms, data having posted on its website.

There are only a few things revealed about LG F240K but they are helpful enough for us to speculate what this device is made and what it’s capable of.

OS. LG F240K will be showcasing Google’s latest version of Android, the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. This will put LG a step ahead of its competitors knowing majority of the manufacturers are going to release their devices with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Almost everyone knows that even if a manufacturer promises to roll out an update soon after the release, it would still take at least three months to complete. So, it would be better for them to release updated devices than make promises.

Resolution. LG’s new device comes packed with 1920 x 1080 reso…………… continues on The Droid Guy

LG Miracle appears in real life, we start to believe
News from Engadget:

LG’s smartphone workshop is keeping itself busy. Alongside the manufacturer’s attempt to out-Note Samsung, its latest Windows Phone has resurfaced. A kindly mole has offered some better focused (but unfortunately watermarked to heck) shots of LG’s first Mango-laced Windows Phone. Skinnier that we expected, we can now make out a front-facing camera, paired up with a rear-facing five-megapixel primary shooter on the back. It’s still a prototype, judging by that not-so-subtle “not for sale” etching on the back, but expect the Miracle — when it does go official — to match those middleweight credentials leaked so far.

The Android conundrum
News from India Today:

Froyo, Gingerbread or Ice-Cream Sandwich? Dual-core or single-core? Keyboard or no keyboard? Motorola, LG, HTC, Samsung or Sony Ericsson?

Out in the market to buy a phone running Google’s Android mobile operating system? Welcome to the club of the largest mobile operating systems, but with over 200 devices running one version of Android or the other, choosing the right phone is hardly an enviable task. Let’s look at the two important things you have to keep in mind while buying an Android phone and the best devices at every Android price point.

Quad-core worth the wait:
Processors will only get faster every few months. Most of the fastest (and thus most expensive) Android devices are powered by either Qualcomm Snapdragon or Nvidia Tegra dual-core processors. But a greater number of cores does not make a processor that much faster; it just makes it more efficient at handling data.

Android devices can have multiple processes on at one time, but multi-core processors could prevent phones from hanging, which is a constant issue with early Android models.

Buying a multi-core processor is expensive, so getting a dualcore device such as the HTC Sensation with a dual-core Nvidia Tegra processor can be an expensive proposition. Sure, the Sensation has ‘Augmented Reality’ applications, great video processing and what not. But is…………… continues on India Today
